Axis three · walking the stations

Realization

Walking the stations — four śrāmaṇa fruitions, the bodhisattva's causal path, and the culmination, each a realisation point seen progressively.

About this axis

Realization — rendered here as , not as “Walking” — translates as the progress itself, not the action of walking. The second axis already covered concrete actions (reciting the buddha, giving, precepts, dhyāna); this axis cannot repeat them. What it adds is position: where am I on the road, and what does this station see that the previous one did not?
